audition procedure with scales and a short sight reading
example required for chair assignment.
The
Symphonic Band includes music majors
and , non-music majors from throughout the University. The Symphonic Band will meet Tue/Thurs. afternoons, 5:00 to
6:15 in Room 210, Robinson Hall.
The Symphonic Band has been designed to
provide another performance option for non-music majors who may not be able
to schedule Symphonic Wind Ensemble. The Symphonic Band rehearses and performs
a wide variety of band literature, grades V-VI, often featuring student and
faculty soloists under the direction of various conductors. The Symphonic Band
will perform both on and off the UNC-Charlotte campus and give two concerts
per semester.
